The Pirates are Back

Well we talked about them before and their still there. The pirates of Mali are back. And they still have the big oil tanker and all of its crew captive. They are still demanding a 15 million dollar ransom for a 1 million dollar oil tanker. And there's a little bad news but I guess it's good news to. The ship believed to be a pirate ship is now identified as a hijacked ship that's not a pirate ship.

The pirates however are not giving up. They have accumulated their ships to a higher number. They are still holding ransoms of higher prices. They are also holding more and more people captive. The pirates it seems are not going to give up the fight which they are clearly winning.

You may think that pirates aren't around any more. You may think that when it comes to pirates all they do is steal money and swash buckle. But if you want to know what a pirate actually looks like then you would have to go to Africa and go to a place called Pirate Gulf. If you go there than you'll see what a real pirate looks like. They don't carry swords or speak weird but they do carry guns and hold boats for ransom. Were they live their is a lot of conflict going on and war lords rule. There you will find violence killing and much fighting along with all the pirates.

The times however aren't getting any better. More and more boats are getting hijacked. And more people are being helded for ransom and it just keeps getting worse. However thanks to people from India There's one less pirate boat. While on the hi seas people from India were crossing the ocean trbnsporting things when they spotted what looked like a pirate ship. At the first sight of it they fired and sunk the thing to the deep.

Fires in the Golden State

Fires in the Golden State

The dry weather and all the wind in the area is the perfect formula to make fires. Fires are happening in much of the Los Angeles area. It's so bad that even Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had to call a red flag alert in the county. Some of the people that are near the fire that's on the mountain are actually trying to put it out with their water hoses to keep it from getting into their houses. But most people are just taking what they can gt and evacuating from their homes.

So far thousands of acres have been burned and hundreds of homes have been destroyed. Helicopters are trying to put it out by using water and a chemical solution that puts fires out. Firefighters on the ground are even using bulldozers to stop the fire from going any further. However only a few fires have been fully contained. All we can do is stand by and see what happens and hope that the fires don't get any farther.

Pets in the White House

Now that Obama is the president his family has moved into the White House. But their not the only ones moving into the house. The Obamas are bringing in a pet into the white house. Promising his daughter a dog if she was good through out the election. And now they are bringing a Scottish terrier with them. The new president also brought up the dog when he was talking on T.V. after he won.

He was talking about how his daughter was alergic to certain types is dogs. He said that one from the pounds are friendly but his daughter is alergic. If he got a better dog and payde money for it takes a while for them to get used to the new home. So he just went with the money one because his daughter won't sneeze every time she plays with it.

Around the country the army are looking for new recruiter's . The army however has a new way of getting people to join. They are creating a new virtual like war were a few people in a fake army car and are driving into a full scale war. They have to shoot at all the enemies to get a better score but if they hit a fellow soldier or a civilian their score go's down. But before they play this virtual game they have to say if they are or aren't joining the army.

Some people think that this game is a little strange and is allowing kids as young as 13 to join the army. A man who was a former marine is saying that this game is lying to them and is telling them that this war isn't as scary and hard as they would think they it is. Evr since this the army has rased the age limit to at least 17 years old.

Today on channel one news they talked about how Obama stated out in this country. He was born in Hawaii until he was two which is when his parents split up. Than his mom got married to an Indonesian man and moved to Indonesia. At the age of 9 his parents split again and he moved back to Hawaii. He entered a prestigious elementary school in Hawaii. After so he went to the local Hawaiian college.

He than moved to California to go to a university that excepted him. He was so smart that he could have been what ever he wanted to be. After graduating he took a part time job for th city. Thats when he went into politics and beacme a senator. After becoming this he entered the White House as the rpesident.

The poles are closed, all the votes have been counted, and the winner has been chosen.Barack Obama has made history being the first African American president in the history of the United States. Last night Obama won 368 electoral votes to John McCain's 168 electoral votes. As president Obama must deal with the problems that the president before him had to deal with. But Obama is prepared to deal with the problems.

Obama also has ti deal with the war and has a huge responsibility to help end the war. He also has to deal with the economy crisis. But all the people who voted for him believe that he can do it. And Obama we just want to say that we are all behind you for support.

It's happening from all around the country are now open and are ready for the voters. But we won't know who the next president is till tomorrow. Even so kids that are Virginia are trying to help their candidates. One kid who is helping Barack Obama drives and walks around his town to certain people trying to get them to vote for Obama. He says that he has gotten the door slammed in his face quite as few times. Even though there are many people that have been polite to him and have changed their vote from McCain to Obama. The person from Virginia that helps support McCain has also had similar things happen to him.

He says that it has been a little easier for him though since Virginia has been a red state since the beginning. He also says that he has convirted many Obama voters to the McCain side. Both sides however say that their work is fun but it does get hard sometimes.Even if one of them lose they say that they'll pick themselves up and dust themselves off.

Girls around the country are being abused by their boyfriends. Their boyfriends would control their lives by telling them that their not pretty in the close that they regularly ware. They would also stop talking to their friends because their boyfriend or husband doesn't want them to talk to each other. Their lives were being completely controlled by another person instead of themselves. Other than this the average of braking up than getting back together is 7 times before they brake up for good.

Some girls that have gone through this are trying to help others before it's to late. This one girl who go's to a university and has gone through this before has put up a video on the Internet that is supposed to help with this type of abuse. For one girl though it was to late she was murdered by her boyfriend. Because of this the state passed a law to teach abuse in schools.

Today on channel one news they cast in all the votes from one vote. All the states that went with Obama were in blue all the states that went with McCain were shone in red. First they started with the northeast. In this region Obama dominated and got all the states in the northeast. Then they went to the southwest. Once again Obama won.

The last two where in the middle east and the west coast. In the middle east Obama took control. It was the same thing in the west coast. I was suprised when Arizona, McCain home state, voted for Obama. In the end it was all Obama all the way.
